What's new: October 2024

Welcome to our October round-up! As autumn settles in, we’re bringing a season full of updates to help you make the most of our UI Bakery customization options. From new customization options to refined components, we’re thrilled to share what’s new and optimized to support your apps. Let’s dive in to discover October’s highlights.

App structure v2: components highlight and search 🔦

We have started the big makeover of the app structure sidebar to provide a clearer and more efficient interface to improve navigation & performance. In the first iteration, you'll notice that selected components are highlighted within the app structure, or alternatively, you can click on a component in the sidebar to navigate directly to it. Additionally, a component search function is available for a quicker navigation between the components.

Updated icon set 👾

We've enhanced our default icon set by adding two new Material icon sets: outlined and filled. These additional options give you more flexibility to match your design vision, allowing for a more minimalist look with the outlined icons or a more prominent, solid appearance with the filled icons. Now, you can tailor your interface further by selecting the icon style that best complements your application's overall usability.

New settings for a vertical menu component ⚙️

The vertical menu component has received a minor update! New styling options are now available, allowing you to customize your menu like a pro. You can set the background color, adjust the active menu item color, and configure the item separators to match your design preferences.

Radio: validation setting and labels 📻

We've introduced a valuable enhancement to the radio component. You’ll now find a dedicated validation settings block, allowing for more control over validation requirements directly within the component. Additionally, you can now manage and customize the component's labels, offering more flexibility in labeling each option clearly and effectively.

Icon property in components 🪪

We've expanded customization options by introducing an icon property across various components and field types. This feature is now available not only for text inputs, number fields, and currency fields, but also in Table and Detail components. This added flexibility allows for a more engaging, visually appealing experience and helps users navigate forms and data displays with ease.
