In August, we started a big task: working on performance improvements. While it’s still a work in progress, we also delivered a bunch of minor changes that make a lot of difference! Let’s check them out!
Validation updates ✅
We have added a couple of new features to improve validation configuration:
- Custom validator setting: we have introduced additional Custom validators setting in the component’s menu. Now, you are
- setErrors method: The setErrors method allows you to programmatically validate a component and display a custom error message.
We have prepared a detailed guide about how to configure the validation on an input component example.
Actions: Sidebar redesign 🎨
A new sidebar on the Actions panel has been introduced, welcoming Usages and Notes for a more comfortable navigation.
Table: Customizable "Add" button ➕
The Add button in the table can now be customized! Choose the color, appearance, add an icon and its position. The customization is only available when the Add new button is enabled. JS configuration can also be applied.
Performance improvements ⚙️
Performance plays a critical role for us. As UI Bakery evolves, new corner cases appear that might impact the platform’s performance, that’s why we take some time and concentrate on its’ optimization. We still have a few major changes planned for September, and then will be happy to share with you the result of our work.
