What's new: July 2024

While the rest of the world is busy soaking up the sun and perfecting their tan lines, we're all about cranking up the heat on our servers here at UI Bakery. Who needs a beach when you have blazing updates to share? 🏝️ This month, we've got some sizzling updates to share, like a new data source or DX improvements. Check them out!

Data Sources: Now Featuring Azure Blob Storage and Other Tasty Treats 🖼️

- Azure Blob Storage: This new data source lets you handle your Azure blob storage directly from UI Bakery. A corresponding action type is available, so you don’t need to provide the commands manually.

- Anonymous Access: Public apps rejoice! You can now configure data sources to allow or disallow anonymous access. Read more about the anonymous access here.

- DynamoDB BatchWriteItem Command: Predefined and ready to roll. Batch writing has never been so snappy.

- PostgreSQL: Materialized views are now supported.

- Certificate-based authentication for PostgreSQL and MySQL: certificate-based authentication ensures a robust and secure connection, providing an extra layer of protection for your data.

- Сustom header name for API key authentication method is available for HTTP data sources

Components: New Kids on the Block 🎨

Say hello to the newest members of our component family:

• Composite form: combines a form and a card in one component for quicker data creation and update. Learn more about the composite form in the doc.
• Range slider: Perfect for when you need to specify a range between two numbers. More details here.
• Dynamic Custom CSS Classes: CSS classes can now be applied dynamically. Read a short guide here.
• Minor updates include the JS mode for the Show inline table filter setting, the ability to hide columns from a tree component, and an option to switch off rendering for hidden components. We’re all about those little quality-of-life improvements.

Actions: Now with Extra Smartness ⚙️

- Type and Data Source Suggestions: No more scrolling through endless lists. Get your action type suggestions served up hot and fresh.

- JS Mode for Query Params and Headers: Added for HTTP/GraphQL/Navigation action types. 

On-Prem Updates: Customize Like a Pro 👨🏻‍💻

With the help of the newly introduced environment variables you can:

• customize the MFA page according to your branding guides;
• set up a way to store your session storage.
