October 2, 2023
October was a month of treats, not tricks, as we conjured up some bewitching new features to make your development journey even more enchanting. It's time to dive into the magical world of UI Bakery and explore what we brewed up in our latest release 🎃
Our components collection has been expanded with the four magical components that work perfectly as standalone components, but are a treasure when combined!
Tabs: Unleash the power of tabs with manual or dynamic configuration options. Note that the old Tabs component has now transformed into Tabset!
Steps: A series of steps that you can configure manually or dynamically.
Container: A versatile container to group different components together. It may not have fancy dressing, but it adapts to your every whim. Plus, it supports multiple content views for different user groups permissions.
Card: Your new go-to container for a set of different components. You can activate multiple views for a card with the "Enable multiple views" option.
Hold onto your wizard hat because we've introduced a feature that gives you more control over your user interfaces. Now you can decide if your components have a fixed height or if they should adapt their height based on the content inside them.
Remember the days when moving multiple components was as impossible as finding a unicorn? Well, those days are over! You can now select a bunch of components and move or resize them across your workspace.
We've summoned a hotkeys panel to make your life even easier. No more fumbling around trying to remember the right incantations. Just press Cmd+? (Ctrl+?) or click the ? icon in the lower-left corner of the builder, and all the magic you need will be at your fingertips. We also gave the left-side options panel a makeover, so you can find all your important links and documentation right there.
In this release, we've added the ability to identify a theme by ID, allowing you to create a theme switcher for your users. Whether you prefer the select component or the common icon, you can now wield the power to change your app's appearance at will. Change the guide here!
Our Automations feature just got a major upgrade. Now you can keep an eye on your automated tasks with improved logging capabilities. Filter your logs by type and search for logs within custom date ranges. It's like having a Dumbledore’s memory pool but for your Automations!
We're now supporting PR links for GitLab and BitBucket. If you're on a self-hosted adventure, configure an env variable with the URL template like this
We are planning to add more components, continue working on the audit logs improvements, and add a rich text editor. Stay tuned for more updates! Don’t forget to post your ideas to our public roadmap.
